This is what I call a "Dirty Harry" style shoulder holster, this is inspired by the photo on page 93 of Frank Greco's book Running Recon where one like this can be seen in use and the fact that in all the reference shots I have seen I can only see one picture of a SOG member wearing a US Issue M7 Shoulder Holster (one of Ken Sisler on Leghorn). I also find the issue shoulder holster gets in the way of the webbing as well. You can see the holster hear with a Browning 9mm Semi-Automitic pistol.
