The issue snap links or carabineers were carried by SOG Recon Teams for use during extraction by Mcguire, Hanson or Stabo Rig. Typically carried two on each shoulder of their harness, STABO or M56 and one on the rucksack for helicopter extraction. They would be sprayed and taped down for concealment purposes.
