A 2nd pattern US jungle jacket as worn by an Australian Colour (or Staff) Sergeant attached to a Provincial Reconnaissance Unit (PRU), in this case the Quang Ngai PRU. The PRU were a major component of the controversial Phoenix Program, which was an attempt to remove the Viet Cong Infrastructure (the VCI). The VCI were the command, political and support personnel of the National Liberation Front, popularly known as the Viet Cong.
