This is the new Gen III ECWCS in ACU pattern currently being trialed by the 10th mountain Division in Iraq. These replace the current ECWCS in Woodland and Tri-Desert. The system works on a layering principal from a silk base layer through to a down/loft jacket, this is the waffle fleece layer in Desert Sand and is made with Polertec fabric and made by Peckham.
