Modified OD BAR Belt and STABO Harness

US WW2 and Korean War Vintage BAR belts were popular with US Special Forces as they had increased carry capacity, the webbing you see here has been modified by being placed on a M1956 belt and has 2 regular M1956 canteens for carrying water and then a WW2 vintage canteen carrier to carry grenades at the front. You can also see a USMC Jungle first aid kit and a WW2 vintage first aid dressing pouch on their wire hangers.

There is a good picture of Sgt. John S. Meyer wearing a BAR belt set up like this one on page 161 of his book "On The Ground".

I have also placed an M1956 Colt .45 magazine pouch at the rear and used my second STABO rig to hold the whole thing up. Its a work in progress and I plan on modifying as I go along.
