A classic embroidered black boonie that belonged to Joseph A.Paris (code named Golden Greek) who transferred from the Command & Control Central Communications Section to join Recon Team Wyoming in July 1970. He took the 1-3 position with Samuel Helland the 1-2, Albert Lamp the 1-1 and Ralph Rodd the 1-0. Paris later held the 1-2 position where he remained until May/June 1971 when he was wounded In Action (WIA) and medevaced to CONUS.
This was Joe's second tour in Vietnam, he served his first tour with 1/7th Cavalry in 1969-70. Joseph passed away in December 14, 2009 after 22 years service in the Army.
