In early 1971, Robert Cook was reassigned from 5th Special Forces Group (ABN), A-341 located in Bu Dop, RVN to MACV-SOG , Task Force 1 Advisory Element (CCN). He joined Recon team Habu and took the 1-1 position with Lemual McGlothern the 1-0. In late 1971, he transferred to Recon Team Intruder and took the team leader position where he remained until the team was disbanded in March 1972.
