This is the final pattern of poncho liner issued during the Vietnam War, the first being a light green pattern, then a "duck hunter" style poncho liner. This version was based on the ERDL pattern and was the most common issued.

This was used by SOG teams in lieu of a sleeping bag and sometimes used as a liner for tour jackets when returning home.
