Tiger stripe shirt that has faded to what collectors call the “gold pattern”. This colouration is particularly popular with tiger stripe collectors. The fade is a result of a number of factors including exposure to sunlight and the types of dye used in the dyeing process. Issue tiger stripes (in all patterns and colours) were notoriously difficult for the US servicemen to fit in and some resorted to having tailor shops make up uniforms in US sizes. This shirt is stamped as a Medium Regular, and should in theory be able to fit to a 40/41 chest!!!!!
