
When the Osprey book US Army Special Forces was published it featured a SOG RT member wearing a US Airforce Survival Vest it was said to be wrong, countless forum experts have said it was never done until Jason Hardys new book, SOG: Team History and Insignia of a Clandestine Army, came out and showed a colour picture of a Geoffery May of RT Arkansas (blue circle) wearing one returning from a mission. You can clearly see this is not what is know as the one-zero vest as the mesh body is clear. The vest shown here is an unused 1970 example, they came in Army and Airforce versions with a colour difference between the two. This being the Airforce example.
