This is a rare original example of the CISO (Counter Insergency Support Office) produced sleeping bag aimed at indigenous forces. These were sometimes used by SOG (John Meyer talks of using one) but they were too short for the average American so were modified or left at base.
They are made from rubber coated nylon with a fleece like lining, the edges are secured with press studs. CISO also produced ponchos, poncho liners, rucksacks, sterile ammunition pouches and black PJ's.
